If you’re not sure which Ledger wallet is the best choice for your needs, here’s a quick comparison of the wallets featured in Ledger’s MiCA promo:
Ledger Stax
The Stax is the most premium device in Ledger’s lineup. It has the most screen real estate of any Ledger hardware wallet, and features an elegant design by iPod creator Tony Fadell. The E Ink touchscreen-based interface provides a vastly superior user experience to traditional hardware wallet designs, which is very valuable for those that use these devices on a regular basis.
We recommend the Stax to those who have no problem with paying more to get the most refined experience.
Ledger Flex
The Flex is best understood as Stax’s little brother, offering a very similar E Ink touchscreen interface in a slightly smaller package and at a more competitive price point.
Ledger Nano Gen 5
The Nano Gen 5 is the most affordable Ledger touchscreen device, featuring an entirely plastic build but keeping the most important features including the EAL 6+ Secure Element and wireless connectivity via NFC and Bluetooth. If you want the smoothness of the touchscreen experience but don’t care much about premium materials, the Nano Gen 5 is the way to go.
