US President Donald Trump has reportedly announced that he will host his TRUMP memecoin dinner for the third time. The latest gathering sparks special criticism as it comes just weeks after a report revealed that investors in TRUMP-linked crypto ventures faced billions of dollars in losses.
Trump announces TRUMP memecoin dinner for token holders
According to the latest Bloomberg report, the biggest holders of the TRUMP memecoin, a token linked to US President Donald Trump, are getting another chance to attend a dinner with him. The event is scheduled for November 22, 2026, at the Trump National Golf Club near Washington, DC. The token holders who attend the meeting will also receive several Trump-themed gifts.
Notably, the report stated that the US President and three unnamed “legends” will appear at the Trump memecoin dinner. To attend the event, the memecoin investors must rank among the top 185 holders of the token during the period from September 30 to November 12.
Top 29 holders will also receive additional perks, including access to a VIP reception with Trump and priority seating at the TRUMP memecoin dinner. The webpage noted, “You’ll enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience — an evening you will talk about forever.”
It is worth noting that this will be the third time Trump has hosted a similar event for memecoin holders. He previously hosted a dinner for 220 token holders at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, DC, in May 2025. This was followed by a luncheon for 297 guests at Mar-a-Lago in Florida in April 2026.
TRUMP memecoin faces billions in losses
Significantly, Trump’s announcement on the TRUMP memecoin dinner comes shortly after the Public Citizen report, which estimated total paper losses of about $4.7 billion among investors in Trump-linked crypto projects. Out of this total amount, a massive $3.2 billion was linked to losses from the TRUMP memecoin.
For context, the TRUMP memecoin has experienced a sharp decline since its early rally. The token was launched after Trump’s 2025 presidential inauguration. During its initial stage, the meme token saw a significant surge to around $70, but soon fell to $20. As of press time, TRUMP is trading at $2.05, with an 8% monthly drop.
Memecoin dinner follows CLARITY Act setback
Interestingly, the announcement comes weeks after the US Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act. The failure happened because the bill didn’t secure the required 60 votes from senators. Some Democrats largely opposed the bill over concerns about Trump and his family profiting from crypto. Senator Ellissa Slotkin stated,
“President Trump, his children, and his Cabinet are making billions of dollars in the crypto space, in part from bilking everyday Americans out of their hard-earned money. I cannot in good conscience vote for any legislation that codifies that behavior from public officials.”
Meanwhile, ETF analyst Nate Geraci shared an X post, stating that the TRUMP memecoin dinner may not have taken place if the CLARITY Act had passed. He also suggested that the Trump administration could take an even stronger crypto-focused approach over the next two years. He sees the latest development as a defiant response to the bill’s failure.
