Orca buyback proposal

Key highlights:

  • ORCA has surged more than 70% in a week as tokenholders vote on a proposal that would overhaul Orca’s fee distribution, treasury management, and governance structure
  • The proposal would redirect 80% of protocol fees to Orca’s development team while moving 14.2M ORCA and 70,000 SOL into team-controlled strategic accounts
  • ORCA is approaching $3 resistance, with a sustained break potentially opening the path toward $5 and $8, while the $1.20 to $1.70 zone remains key support

Orca has seen its token surge more than 70% over the past week as tokenholders vote on a governance proposal that would overhaul the Solana-based DeFi protocol.

A sustained weekly close above $3, followed by a break of $3.50, would strengthen the bullish structure and potentially open the path toward $5 and $8.

Beyond $8, the chart identifies $19 as a longer-term resistance and target, while $40 represents an extreme bullish projection rather than an immediate price objective.

From around $2.56, reaching $40 would require a gain of more than 1,400%.

If ORCA faces a pullback, the $1.20-$1.70 region remains an important accumulation and potential support zone. The broader bullish setup would be weakened by a higher-timeframe close below $0.95.
