ChangeNOW Joins the Conversation at Consensus Miami 2026

Consensus Miami 2026 continues to position itself as one of the key meeting points for the crypto industry, and this year, ChangeNOW is taking an active role beyond just attending.

On May 6, the team participated in two consecutive panel discussions hosted by NOWNodes in the “Meet Ups” zone at the Miami Beach Convention Center. NOWNodes, part of the broader NOW ecosystem, focuses on blockchain node infrastructure.

These sessions are designed to address some of the more pressing issues in crypto today, including system reliability, tokenization, and the barriers slowing down real-world adoption.

Representing ChangeNOW was Pauline Shangett, Chief Strategy Officer, who also moderated the first panel in her capacity as Strategic Advisor to NOWNodes.

Her schedule at Consensus extends beyond these sessions. On May 5, she appears at the Capital Markets Summit to discuss onchain privacy and identity at 11:25 AM, followed by a session titled “FQ Trust by Design: Building On-Chain Systems People Believe In” at 1:20 PM. On May 7, she is also attending “The Next Commodity Revolution: RWA Meets Instant Liquidity” at 4:40 PM.

Across these appearances, the focus remains consistent: how to build systems that users can actually trust with their assets.

Background on ChangeNOW

Founded in 2017, ChangeNOW operates as a non-custodial crypto exchange, meaning it never holds user funds. The platform supports swaps across more than 110 blockchains and over 1,500 assets, typically without requiring account registration.

With a user base exceeding eight million, the project has expanded into a broader ecosystem that includes NOW Wallet, NOWPayments, NOWTracker, and NOWNodes, which provides blockchain API access for businesses and developers who prefer not to run their own nodes.

For a company operating at this scale, infrastructure reliability is not theoretical. Handling cross-chain swaps in real time without custody introduces constant operational challenges, making the topics discussed on stage directly relevant to their day-to-day work.

Panel one: “Trust under pressure”

The first session, titled “Trust Under Pressure: Can Tokenized Systems Stay Consistent at Scale?”, runs from 10:35 to 11:10. Pauline Shangett moderates a panel that includes Kwon Park (Crypto.com), Abi Dharshan (Zerion), Vidor Gencel (Solflare), and Philipp Zentner (LI.FI).

The discussion takes a direct approach. Tokenization has moved beyond experimentation. With real users and capital involved, inconsistencies in ownership data are no longer minor issues—they can escalate into serious operational risks.

The panel focuses on practical questions: when does a technical inconsistency become a critical business problem, and what are the measurable consequences of system failures?

Panel two: “Can RWA deliver?”

Immediately following the first session, the second panel—“Selling Trust: Can RWA Deliver on the Promise of Mass Adoption?”—runs from 11:15 to 11:45.

Moderated by Samuel Hood Burke (CCN), the discussion includes participants from Houdini Swap, TON Foundation, Paxos, and GlobalStake.

The premise is straightforward: while tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) such as treasuries and real estate have been widely promoted, adoption has not matched expectations. The panel examines possible reasons, including regulatory friction, liquidity constraints, and whether the value proposition resonates with users at all.

Why these discussions matter

Although organized by NOWNodes, the themes explored in these panels extend across the entire crypto sector.

For ChangeNOW, the connection is immediate. The company has spent years building infrastructure aimed at speed, privacy, and consistency, and the challenges discussed on stage reflect issues their systems encounter in production environments.

This year’s presence at Consensus is less about announcements and more about contributing to industry-wide dialogue. The goal is to engage with the questions that will shape how crypto systems evolve in the coming years.

The sessions begin at 10:35 AM on May 6 in the Meet Ups area of the Miami Beach Convention Center. These discussions tend to be dense and time-limited, so early arrival is advisable for attendees.

For those not attending, updates can be followed via ChangeNOW and NOWNodes channels, with more detailed coverage expected after the event.
