ICP Price Prediction: This Internet Computer Accumulation Signal Has Been Flashing for 49 Days

Key highlights:

  • The ICP price has held a 100/100 accumulation score for 49 straight days, signaling a strong accumulation phase
  • The $2.50-$2.60 level remains the key breakout zone, with $2.20 acting as critical support
  • Mission 70 targets a major reduction in ICP inflation, tightening token supply through 2026

Internet Computer has printed one of those setups that makes traders stop and take a second look. Analyst CW pointed out that ICP has been flashing an accumulation signal for 49 straight days, with an accumulation score of 100 out of 100. That is an unusually strong reading, and it has stayed in place for nearly seven weeks.

What stands out even more is that the MACD and EMA indicators are still pointing higher, which tells me momentum has remained positive even though the ICP price has spent most of the last two months moving sideways.

The ICP price is stuck in a tight range

We had a look at the chart shared by CW, and the setup is pretty straightforward. The ICP price has been trading inside a narrow daily range, with support near $2.20 and resistance around $2.50-$2.60. The current price is sitting almost exactly on that lower support area.

The chart also shows a TTM Squeeze, which usually means volatility has compressed and a larger move may be getting closer. At the same time, the ADX is around 19, so the market is still in consolidation mode rather than trending strongly in either direction.

Momentum is not stretched yet. The daily RSI is around 54, which leaves room for a stronger move without immediately looking overbought.  For me, the key level is $2.50-$2.60. If the ICP price can close above that area with a noticeable increase in volume, that would be the first convincing sign that buyers are taking control.

If that happens, traders will likely start targeting the previous recovery level around $3.50-$4.00. The downside is easy to define as well. A daily close below $2.00 would break the current accumulation floor and increase the risk of a move back toward roughly $1.50-$1.80.

Internet Computer is tightening supply

One reason this setup is getting attention is the fundamental backdrop. Internet Computer approved its Mission 70 tokenomics initiative in January 2026, with the goal of reducing annual token issuance by roughly 70% by the end of 2026. Inflation is projected to fall from about 9.7% toward roughly 2.9%-5.4%.

The important detail is that ICP is burned when converted into cycles, the resource used to pay for computation on the network. Mission 70 also directs 20% of Cloud Engines revenue toward buying and burning ICP, so higher network usage could directly reduce circulating supply.

Internet Computer has also already proven it can handle large transaction volumes. Network data showed roughly 133 million daily transactions in July 2026, which puts ICP among the more active blockchains by transaction count.

The challenge is that economic activity has not caught up yet. DeFi TVL is still only about $12.6 million, so investors are still waiting for stronger evidence that transaction activity can translate into sustainable revenue and locked capital.

Where could ICP price go next?

The ICP price remains trapped between $2.20 support and $2.60 resistance. As long as the price stays above $2.20, the accumulation thesis remains alive. A confirmed breakout above $2.60 would make me much more constructive and put $3.50-$4.00 back on the table.

If support fails and the ICP price closes below $2.00, I would expect another test of the $1.50-$1.80 area before stronger buyers are likely to step in. According to CoinCodex’s 1-month ICP price prediction, the price is projected to trade around $2.13, which points to a mostly neutral near-term outlook from the current level near $2.21.
