  • The company’s valuation is expected to reach between $4 billion and $6 billion
  • The details raise will depend on market conditions and the SEC’s review of the registration filing

Blockchain.com, a crypto company founded in 2011, is now taking a bigger step as it plans for an initial public offering in the US market. Via a US listing, the company intends to raise around $500 million, which could bring its total valuation to up to $6 billion.

Blockchain.com eyes $500M IPO

According to a Bloomber report, Blockchain.com is preparing for a possible US stock market debut this year. The crypto platform is expected to raise around $500 million through this IPO, targeting a valuation of between $4 billion and $6 billion.

However, Blockchain.com stated that the company may choose to raise less depending on the market conditions. As discussions are still going on, the valuation, timing, and other terms of the IPO are subject to potential changes.

Interestingly, the development comes as Blockchain.com has partnered with the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to give users access to tokenized versions of US stocks and ETFs. Both platforms have signed a preliminary agreement, with the crypto platform allowing users to access NYSE’s planned digital trading platform.

Revealing the earlier SEC filing

It is worth noting that Blockchain.com’s IPO plans are not entirely new. The company already took a significant step towards public listing earlier this year. On May 21, 2026, Blockchain.com confidentially filed a draft registration statement with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

While the platform submitted the draft registration statement on Form S-1 to the SEC for its proposed offering of Class A ordinary shares, Blockchain.com did not share more details.

The details regarding the number of shares it plans to sell or the price range were not revealed at the time. The size and valuation of the offering remained confidential initially.

Crypto market recovery supports IPO plans

Significantly, Blockchain.com’s decision to pursue an IPO comes at a crucial time for the crypto industry. After a difficult period, crypto companies and stocks are now showing signs of recovery.

During the recent crypto market crash, several companies saw their shares falling to record lows. As crypto prices declined massively, many companies that entered the stock market during the bull run came under pressure in the recent winter.

Now, the condition is changing as the crypto market recovers. Bitcoin and several other cryptocurrencies have shown positive momentum, influencing the movement of crypto shares. This has created a favourable condition for many crypto stocks and platforms looking for a public debut.

Thus, Blockchain.com announced that the company’s potential IPO plans will definitely depend on the changing market conditions. If the market sees a further decline despite the current resurgence, the company could make changes to its current decisions.

The move will also depend on the SEC’s completion of its review. This means that Blockchain.com could change the fundraising target and valuation before it goes public.
