September is now the worst month of crypto exploits in 2026. Two security firms, PeckShield and CertiK, tracked the events as hacks continue to fester in the crypto space. PeckShield reported 55 incidents totaling $766.5 million in stolen funds, while CertiK recorded 97 incidents with losses estimated at $768.4 million.
