By FRANCE24 Residents of Syrian towns in a province bordering Israel observe IDF troops establishing themselves in their neighborhoods. The province, Quneitra, is located on the Golan plateau. Israel took the Golan Heights in 1967 after the Six Day War. After another war that followed, a UN Buffer zone was established between Israel and Syria in 1974. This month, Syrians and international observers have reported that Israeli troops have been expanding their reach in the area – drawing concern from the UN Security Council.  Source: Israeli troops in Syria: Villagers watch on warily as soldiers patrol
