Coinbase is developing a new forecasting and prediction platform in partnership with Kalshi, according to tech researcher Jane Manchun Wong, who discovered the unreleased feature on the crypto exchange’s website.
Wong, known for uncovering hidden tools on platforms such as Facebook and X, shared several screenshots on Tuesday showing the interface of the upcoming service. The images reveal that the platform will operate through Coinbase Financial Markets (the derivatives arm of Coinbase Global), and will run on Kalshi infrastructure.
The screenshots display a clean prediction market layout featuring the Coinbase logo, an FAQ hub, and a guide explaining how the service works.
The platform will support USDC and offer markets across economics, sports, science, politics, and technology.
Coinbase first revealed its intention to enter the event-betting sector in July as part of its broader “universal exchange” strategy. The firm formalized its partnership with Kalshi on November 13, taking on the role of custodian for USDC-based event contracts.
Wong noted that new sections are being added regularly, suggesting rapid development. She often uncovers such hidden features by inspecting public source code across major platforms.
Prediction markets gain momentum in crypto
Prediction markets have quickly become one of the fastest-growing sectors in crypto this year. Trading activity on services such as Kalshi and Polymarket has surged, prompting major exchanges to explore similar offerings.

Crypto.com recently launched its own prediction platform, which will integrate with Trump Media. Gemini is also planning a comparable product as part of its upcoming “super app” and submitted a filing to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission last week.
Although Coinbase has not announced a launch date, the pace of development suggests the platform may debut in the near future.
