Bitcoin Price Prediction: BTC Faces $90,000 Resistance as Cycle-Bottom Debate Grows

By Afe Funbi

Key highlights:

  • The Bitcoin price faces resistance at $90,000, with $92,050 and $100,000 next.
  • Analyst sees a possible Bitcoin cycle bottom between November 2026 and January 2027.
  • CoinCodex predicts BTC could fall to $84,138 over the next month.

The supplied SOPR chart places the current reading around 1.00. It marks readings above 1.04 as a high-profit zone and levels below 0.98 as a high-loss zone. A reading of 0.96 marks the extreme-loss area.

CryptoCon compares the current cycle with earlier Bitcoin cycles. The chart compares Bitcoin’s past cycles and finds a similar pattern each time. Bitcoin peaked around November 2013, December 2017 and January 2021, then reached major lows in September 2014, December 2018 and November 2022.

Using that history, CryptoCon’s chart points to a possible Bitcoin bottom sometime between November 2026 and January 2027. That window comes from comparing the current cycle with previous halving cycles, so it should be viewed as an estimate, not a fixed date for Bitcoin’s next low.

Bitcoin network activity is picking up

On-chain data from Glassnode offers another part of the picture. The active-address chart places current activity near 665,000, up from a recent low of approximately 560,000. The full range shown on the chart runs from 555,000 to 740,000 addresses.

Transaction activity has also recovered. The supplied chart puts daily transactions near 910,000, up from around 530,000 and close to the top of its displayed range.

These figures show that more addresses are interacting with the Bitcoin network and that more transactions are being processed. Both metrics have recovered alongside the Bitcoin price, which has moved from around $84,000 toward $85,800 in the supplied on-chain charts.

Where could the BTC price go next?

Bitcoin has a clear short-term test at $86,000, followed by $86,750 and $87,500. A break above those levels would strengthen the recovery case and put the larger $90,000 trendline within reach.

Beyond that, BTC needs to clear the $90,000–$92,050 resistance zone before $100,000 becomes the next major target. If the price falls below $85,000, the next levels to watch are $84,500 and $84,000, followed by $83,500.

For now, $90,000 is the key resistance for the broader recovery, and $84,292 is an important nearby support level. CoinCodex’s 1-month BTC price prediction puts the price at $84,138, implying that analysts expect the price to trade below current levels over the coming weeks.
