Tom Lee believes the cryptocurrency market is entering its biggest bull cycle yet, pointing to Bitcoin’s recovery, growing institutional interest, and the expanding role of Ethereum in traditional finance.
His prediction comes as crypto markets regain ground, although rising profit-taking and signs of slowing demand have raised questions about how far the rally can go.

Bitcoin holders realized 25,700 BTC in profit on September 22, the largest single-day total recorded in 2026, according to CryptoQuant. Meanwhile, apparent spot demand contracted by 170,000 BTC over 30 days, while growth in speculative futures demand slowed sharply.
Altcoins have also attracted substantial capital, as CryptoQuant estimated that the combined market capitalization of altcoins, including Ethereum, gained more than $371 billion from June 2026, while 87% of altcoins listed on Binance were trading above their 200-day moving averages.
However, rising altcoin deposits to exchanges have raised concerns about potential selling pressure. Glassnode also reported that spot trading volume across altcoins had climbed to nearly four times Bitcoin’s volume, a pattern that has previously coincided with local market tops.
Several analysts have also pointed to structural changes supporting the current crypto market, including growing institutional adoption, asset tokenization, and expanding stablecoin use.
They added that the rise of spot ETFs has increased institutional access to major cryptocurrencies, while tokenization is bringing traditional financial assets onto blockchain networks could contribute to the new bull run.
Regulatory progress and broader stablecoin adoption are also helping reduce barriers to institutional participation.
