Ripple is reportedly expanding its presence in college sports with a strategic partnership with Louisville Athletics. With this deal, the company will bring the XRP logo to the Denny Crum Court during Louisville home games starting with the new basketball season.
Ripple expands XRP presence in college sports
On Tuesday, Louisville Athletics announced a multi-year collaboration with payments giant Ripple. The deal brings Ripple’s XRP brand to the Louisville basketball program, giving the token a visible presence at Louisville home games and across the team’s basketball activities.

In addition, the XRP logo will also appear on Denny Crum Court at the KFC Yum! Center. At the same time, the iconic Denny Crum Court logo will remain permanently inside the three-point arc. This would keep the court’s existing identity and history unchanged.
“Ripple was very intentional about aligning with premier basketball brands, and we’re proud that Louisville was one of the programs they identified,” stated Josh Heird, Vice President and Director of Athletics. He added:
“As college athletics continues to evolve, we want to align with partners who recognize the value of what Louisville represents while respecting the history that helped build it. This partnership does both, and I’m especially proud that we’re able to move forward in a new and innovative way while continuing to honor Coach Crum and the legacy of Denny Crum Court.”
XRP branding to extend beyond the court
Interestingly, the Ripple-Louisville Athletics partnership will not be limited to the basketball court. As part of this alliance, the XRP logo will also appear on courtside signs that are visible during TV broadcasts.
