XRP Price Prediction: Ripple’s Latest Moves Put the $1 Level Back in Focus

Key highlights:

  • The XRP price is testing the $0.90-$1.00 support zone as monthly momentum hits a 13-year low
  • Ripple invested in ZILO and Licuido to expand regulated infrastructure on the XRP Ledger
  • Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP in August, with more than 32 billion XRP still held in escrow

XRP is back at a level that has traders paying close attention again. A chart shared by Cryptollica shows XRP’s monthly momentum indicator has dropped to its lowest point in 13 years. It’s below the oversold readings that were seen during the crashes of 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2022 markets, and that’s why this trade has attracted so many eyes.

XRP is trading between $1.00-$1.10, and this is where it has been finding strong support for many years now. The big question now is whether the current move is simply another correction or the deepest reset the XRP price has ever gone through.

Why traders are watching the XRP monthly chart

We took a look at the XRP chart shared by Cryptollica, and the most important detail is the monthly momentum reading near 39.17. That is the weakest monthly momentum level in XRP’s recorded history.

The timing is what makes this interesting. The XRP price is at the test of a rising trendline support that held its ground in the cycle lows of 2014, 2017, 2020, and 2024.

It is also clear from the chart that XRP broke out of a multi-year descending trendline resistance in the 2024-2025 rally and retraced back towards the breakout region. At the moment, $0.90-$1.10 is considered the critical support region.

Ripple’s XRP ledger expansion meets the August Escrow release

The chart is only part of the story. Ripple is continuing to build out regulated infrastructure on the XRP Ledger. CoinDesk reported that Ripple invested in transfer agency firm ZILO and tokenization platform Licuido. Those investments are aimed at strengthening regulated issuance and collateral-management services on the XRP Ledger.

For the XRP price, that matters because Ripple is putting capital into tokenized-asset infrastructure, not only cross-border payments. The market will be watching whether that activity eventually leads to higher network usage and more demand for XRP.

Supply is another factor traders are watching this week. BSCN reported that Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP in its scheduled August escrow release, worth roughly $1.08 billion at the time of the release. The escrow system was put in place in 2017 to ensure that the release of XRP takes place in a predictable manner on a monthly basis.

According to BSCN News, over 32 billion XRP will be locked even after the most recent release of the XRP. The reason why this history is significant is that in the past, Ripple has always sent most of the released XRP back to escrow.

What the XRP price needs next

From a technical perspective, the key level remains $0.90. Holding above that area keeps the long-term support structure intact.

If buyers can defend that zone, traders are likely to focus first on the $1.10-$1.20 area and then on the broader resistance zone created during the 2025 rally. A decisive monthly close below $0.85 would be a much more serious signal and would weaken the long-term support thesis significantly.

According to CoinCodex’s 1-month XRP price prediction, the price is projected to trade around $1.20, indicating moderate upside potential from current levels if buyers can continue defending the $0.95-$1.10 support zone and push back above the $1.10-$1.20 resistance area in the coming weeks.
